When you have experienced painful or traumatic life events, emotions can be overwhelming. Sometimes it feels like you have no control over your thoughts and feelings. Maybe you are depressed or anxious and wondering if you will ever experience peace. Thoughts and memories play over and over in your mind. It is difficult for you to trust others even though you long for connection. When you try to move forward, you are afraid because you doubt yourself, or worry that you don't fit in. Fears of being judged or failing discourage you from taking chances.
